A New Website for Hospice Aides!

We are excited to announce the launch of our new website called Hospice Aide Hub!

Hospice aides are the best at providing the foundation of care for patients who are terminally ill and dying, and it means so much for families to know their loved one?s basic needs are being met by nurse?s aides who are experienced and knowledgeable in hospice care.? Because they work so closely with patients, families, and caregivers, hospice aides are the eyes and ears for the rest of the interdisciplinary team and we want them to know how much they are appreciated.

Hospice Aide Hub was created to provide education specific to hospice aides and the issues they face.? The inservices are interesting, thought-provoking, and even controversial, and we hope they will inspire hospice aides to learn, contemplate, and engage in conversation about them.

Medicare requires hospices to provide at least 12 hours of inservice training to their hospice aides each year, and we want to make sure hospice educators have easy and convenient access to quality education that is customized for hospice aides.

In honor of hospice aides all over the United States who work hard every day to make sure patients are clean, well-cared for, and comforted ? and for all the things you do to make a difference ? this website is for you.? On behalf of interdisciplinary team members around the country, thank you for your service, dedication, and commitment to making patients so much more comfortable in the final stages of their lives.? You are the guardians of fundamental human dignity.
