National Nursing Assistants Week is June 12-19 this year and we are happy to celebrate the important role of hospice aides!? We hope that you will take a few moments to tell us about a hospice aide who holds a special place in your heart.
At Hospice Aide Hub we honor hospice aides everywhere and thank them for the wonderful work they do with hospice patients and families.? They are patient, kind, understanding, and compassionate. ?When it seems that everyone is in a hurry, hospice aides take time with their patients.? They care for them with respect and treat them like family.? Feeding, bathing, and ADL?s are carried out knowing that time with each patient is limited.
One of my favorite things is to watch is a hospice aide taking the time to gently and patiently paint a female patient?s nails, fix her hair, and apply a little lipstick.? In that moment my heart swells with love and gratitude for the people who treat our mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and friends with such dignity and grace.? Everyone should know how lucky they are to have a hospice aide caring for their loved one at the end of life.
To hospice aides everywhere, thank you for your hospice hearts.? You are more important to us than you will ever know and we are deeply grateful to each and every one of you for the care you give to our families and friends in the spirit of caring that is often forgotten in healthcare today.? You inspire us to remember the things that matter and gift us with your dedication every day. ?We celebrate you this week and every day of the year.
